I am a fan of photography and one of the most iconic and provocative fashion photographers in addition to Helmut Newton is Guy Bourdin. I recently came across this photo while in search of inspiration for a project I am working on. What I like most about the photo it its linear nature. The straight line of the horizon, the 90 degree angles of the goal and the bent knee of the model all framed by the goal itself. Football is all about angles. Tiki Taka is all about triangles. I am sure lines, angles and football weren’t Guy’s intention for this photo however that is how I have chosen to interpret it. Always a football fan first.
